Imply and Eleven Tickets hold 2nd Latin American Congress of Effective Management for Arenas and Stadiums

The 2nd Latin American Congress of Effective Management for Arenas and Stadiums was held in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on August 31, sponsored by Imply® and Eleven Tickets®, with the support of Sport Club Internacional, BRIO and Arena do Grêmio. The event brought together in Beira-Rio Stadium and Gremio Arena, more than 100 leaders from Football Clubs, Arenas and Stadiums from various Latin American countries, with the purpose of promoting the exchange of experiences and leveraging innovation in the management of Arenas and Stadiums in Latin America.

The opening of the Congress was carried out by the President-in-Office of the International, Mr. João Patrício Herrmann; by the President of BRIO, Mr. Paulo Pinheiro and the President of Imply, Mr. Tironi Paz Ortiz, who during his speech highlighted the launch of the new Imply® Group company, Eleven Tickets: a spin-off of the Access and Ticketing Business Unit.

The participants had the opportunity to attend several pioneering and high performance cases. The first presentation was made by Mr. Alessandro Barcellos, Vice President of Administration, along with the Director of Administration, Mr. Luciano Elias, and the President of Brio, Mr. Paulo Pinheiro, highlighting the partnership between Internacional and Brio in the shared administration of the Beira-Rio Stadium, as well as the state-of-the-art technologies used in event management.

The Operations Coordinator of the Atletico Paranaense Club, Mr. Paulo Prestes, detailed the Case of Success to combat violence, being the only Stadium in Brazil with 100% accesses controlled by biometrics, through Imply® Technology. Namely, the first edition of the Congress was held in September 2017 at the Atletico Paranaense Stadium in Curitiba-PR.

Next, the President of the Grêmio Arena, Mr. Mauro Araújo, shared the technologies, experiences and initiatives of his management, also highlighting the access control with biometrics through Imply® Technology. Following this, Prosecutor Mr. Marcio Bressani reinforced the work of the Public Ministry of the State of Rio Grande do Sul for the prevention and combat of violence in the Stadiums, and Judge Dr. Ricardo Jentzsch of the Court of Justice of the State of Paraná also shared the practices developed in partnership with the clubs.

In the afternoon, the presentations started with Flamengo Case. The CEO Mr. Bruno Spindel highlighted the strategies developed for the brand, partners and staff. Then, the international speakers continued to share excellent management practices, strategies, innovations and emerging technologies. The Boca Juniors CFO, Mr. Sebastian Blanklejder, spoke about the passion of the fans, who occupy, on average, 90% of the Bombonera at each game, and the challenges to maintain the ISO 9001 quality certification. Representing Peñarol, the General Manager, Mr. Alvaro Alonso, highlighted the quality jump brought by the new stadium, the Champion of the Century. Through Cerro Porteño, the General Manager, Mr. Fabian Bruzzone, reinforced the technologies implemented in La Nueva Olla for the experience of the fans and members. Closing the lecture series, Colo-Colo’s General Manager, Mr. Alejandro Paul, spoke among other strategies about the brand‘s strength in Chile and safety at the stadium.

At the end of the presentations, the participants of the congress held a complete Tour at the Beira-Rio Stadium and then at the Grêmio Arena, where they could see several innovations applied in practice.
