Autopass Expands Public Transportation Operations in Sao Paulo with 100% Imply Self-Service Kiosks
Autopass, specializing in mobility and electronic ticketing solutions, has expanded its partnership with Imply, a technology company specializing in customized hardware and software solutions. Focusing on the well-being of Sao Paulo residents who use public transportation, 140 Self-Service Kiosks produced by Imply were installed at new locations across Sao Paulo. On average, 5 million transactions are processed each month, generating around R$ 70 million.
Since 2016, Autopass’s Self-Service network in Sao Paulo has been fully operated with Imply Kiosks. Hundreds of Kiosks are distributed across Metro, Train, and Bus stations – namely: Sao Paulo Metro, Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), and Empresa Metropolitana de Transportes Urbanos de Sao Paulo (EMTU).
The new equipment further speeds up service and expands the availability of services to more locations and times. At the Kiosks, users can issue QR Code tickets or recharge cards, with the option to pay in cash or by debit and credit cards. “The Kiosks make it easier for our customers to access our services during their daily commute. Additionally, they offer a simple and direct way to recharge transportation cards, such as the TOP Card and Bilhete Único, and to purchase QR Code tickets for boarding,” says Rodney Freitas, CEO of Autopass.
