Globalmob, a company specialized in ticketing solutions for public transport, is modernizing mobility in the Lagos region on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Recently, the company implemented Imply® Self-Service Kiosks to facilitate the recharge of public transport cards, providing more convenience and autonomy to users.

The initiative is part of a broader project aimed at expanding Self-Service points in the Lagos region, which consists of nine municipalities: Araruama, Armação dos Búzios, Arraial do Cabo, Cabo Frio, Iguaba Grande, São Pedro da Aldeia, Saquarema, Rio das Ostras, and Macaé. All municipalities are already connected by intercity lines covered by the Globalmob card payment system, which seeks to further automate processes and reduce the circulation of cash within buses.

According to Othon Neto, Business and Technology Manager at Globalmob, the partnership with Imply® has been fundamental to the success of the implementation. “Reducing the use of cash on buses and automating processes are two major pillars of our strategy. Imply® stands out for its technical expertise, from initial testing to the installation of equipment,” said the executive.
