Imply Health helps restarting practical classes at Santa Cruz do Sul University

With the beginning of the second academic semester of 2020 scheduled for August 24, the Santa Cruz do Sul University (Unisc) has gradually resumed its face-to-face activities, in compliance with security decrees and protocols established by the authorities. Since the 24th of June, some academics are recovering the practical classes in person. To optimize the prevention, monitoring and control of Covid-19 transmission, the innovative Imply Health Platform is being used.

As the first educational institution to use this technology, Unisc has access to an information network, with reliable and real-time data, to speed up temperature control, as well as the management of access, occupation and number of people who circulate in all Campus environments. The platform guarantees total privacy for users, since the system basically replaces the manual filling of spreadsheets at the entrance or exit of the rooms, automating the process of controlling the flow of those present at each location. “Unisc uses pioneering technology that provides more security and practicality”, explains Imply Group CEO, Tironi Paz Ortiz.

According to Dean Carmen Lúcia de Lima Helfer, the priority is to ensure the health of students, teachers and administrative technicians. “Students’ lives are what move us, so all decisions are made in that direction. The Imply system is one of the tools used to ensure more protection for the academic community. In the gradual return of our face-to-face activities, this monitoring is necessary, because, through it, we will be able to prevent many people in the same space and control the temperature of each one, for example”. According to the director of Education at Unisc, Giana Sebastiany, all protocols in force are being followed in this gradual return. “We care for public health and work so that our academics do not have losses in terms of teaching. More than ever, we need to adapt to the most different realities”, she stressed.
