Imply® Self-Service Facilitates 7+ Million Services and 248 Public Services in Minas Gerais
Since 2020, the Government of Minas Gerais, in partnership with Imply®, has been leading the modernization of public services in the state. Focused on providing faster and safer services, Imply® Self-Service Kiosks, available in 43 cities across Minas Gerais, now feature digital biometric technology integrated with the Gov.br account for user identification.
With 248 available services—65 of which use biometric authentication—the initiative not only speeds up service delivery but also enhances security by automatically filling in information such as name and CPF while reducing the risk of fraud. Imply® Self-Service Kiosks allow users to request or schedule various public services using only their fingerprint for authentication. Some of the key services offered include:
-
Requesting the first and second copies of identity cards, including invoice issuance and payment;
-
Traffic services such as issuing and paying fees and fines, scheduling driving tests, renewing driver’s licenses, adding categories, checking points, and verifying vehicle status;
-
Water and sanitation services, including issuing duplicate bills, obtaining negative certificates, viewing consumption history, and checking paid invoices;
-
Issuing criminal background certificates;
-
Scheduling blood donations;
-
Booking various public service appointments at state units.
Coordinated by the State Secretariat for Planning and Management (Seplag-MG), this modernization makes Minas Gerais a benchmark in innovation and efficiency in public service delivery. Since 2020, the terminals have facilitated more than 7 million services. According to Damião Rocha, Director of Seplag-MG’s Digital Channels Center:
“With the implementation of this technology, the Government of Minas reinforces its commitment to modernizing and improving public service, using technology as an ally to promote accessibility and convenience for the population.”
Imply® developed customized hardware and software to meet the state’s specific demands. Tironi Paz Ortiz, CEO of Imply®, highlights:
“It is highly rewarding to see how technology is contributing to modernizing services and improving the customer experience. We are committed to continuing to support the Government of Minas Gerais and other organizations in their digital transformation journeys, offering agile, efficient, and innovative solutions.”
