Imply® Self-Service Kiosks facilitate urban mobility for millions of Brazilians

Urban mobility is a challenge for big cities. To give you an idea, more than 170 million people use public transport in Brazil daily. Purchasing or recharging a ticket at traditional ticket offices can be a test of patience. But thanks to technology, the scenario has changed in recent years.

Sao Paulo, the largest city in Latin America, found an intelligent solution to optimize operational processes, offering users more ease, modernity and agility: Imply® Self-Service Kiosks.

In partnership with major companies such as CPTM, Autopass and Prodata, Imply® implemented Self-Service Kiosks, allowing passengers to buy and recharge tickets quickly and intuitively, at any time of day, using cash, debit, credit cards or PIX.

“Our objective is to bring new benefits and make it easier for users of public transport as a whole, promoting mobility, comfort and safety”, highlights Leonardo Ceragioli, Commercial Director of Prodata.

The largest city in the interior of Sao Paulo was not left behind. Campinas also innovated and streamlined the lives of passengers with the installation of Imply® Self-Service Kiosks by the Association of Urban Collective Transport Companies. “We have a long-standing relationship with Imply®, it is a strong partnership that has been working very well,” emphasizes Sergio Antonio Finatti, IT Manager at Transurc.

Also in the interior of São Paulo, Viação Piracicabana and Prodata implemented the Imply® Self-Service Kiosks in order to facilitate the recharging of the BR Card for users of buses and trams in public transport in Santos – SP.

And speaking of partnerships that work, since 2015 Imply® has helped to simplify the routine of Pernambuco people through Urbana-PE, a union that represents public transport companies in Greater Recife. It is possible to buy and recharge the public transportation card at Imply® ATMs with credit card or cash, reducing operating costs and, above all, queues.

Still in the northeast, we continue our journey to Aracaju. There, residents use AracajuMais cards from the AracajuCard company and can use debit or cash cards to purchase and recharge tickets, in addition to checking balances through Imply® Self-Service Kiosks.

In Minas Gerais, the entire metropolitan region uses the electronic ticket for transportation. And to optimize the card purchase and recharge process, the company also joined Imply® Self-Service Kiosks, providing faster and safer transactions, with payment options in cash, coins, debit or credit card.

After this tour of Brazil, it became easier to see some examples of how technology can contribute to optimizing the operation of companies and the daily lives of passengers, isn’t it? After all, customer satisfaction is essential to keep the business, literally, running!
