JTI Expands Safety Project with Imply® Full Color LED Displays
Imply® is playing a crucial role in Japan Tobacco International’s (JTI) important safety project. As a global player in the tobacco industry, JTI operates in more than 130 countries and has a manufacturing plant in Santa Cruz do Sul. It is in this plant, located in the same city as Imply®’s headquarters, where the partnership began to take shape.
In April 2024, Full Color LED Displays were installed at the factory site, integrating into a global project by JTI that aims to alert workers about safety when navigating the facilities, based on the color displayed by the LEDs. “JTI needed to improve communication and raise awareness about risks in the area for employees and visitors, while reinforcing safety messages in the industrial area,” explains Renan Vianna, Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist at JTI. The company found the perfect solution in Imply®’s products, solidifying the partnership between the two companies.
More recently, the company invested in new Full Color LED Displays, expanding the safety alert campaign for its employees. “With the installation of the displays, we have seen a significant improvement in visual risk management and a direct contribution to the cultural development of our employees,” Vianna shares.
In total, 15 units have been installed, designed exclusively for JTI’s needs. The custom-made displays have three sides to ensure excellent visibility. “We chose Imply® for the quality of their services and products, as well as the established partnership between JTI and Imply®. What impressed us the most was the quick response time to meet our demand and the ongoing support during implementation, including user training. I also want to highlight how easy it is to customize the messages on the displays,” concludes the Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist at JTI.
