An emotional heritage in the lives and memories of Recife’s residents. The stage for countless international shows and major world-level competitions, the Geraldo Magalhães Gymnasium is undergoing a physical and digital revitalization, thus incorporating Imply® technology. The Imply® Facial Biometric Recognition system is among the innovations of this project, which foresees an investment of R$ 209 million over the course of the concession. Management is under the concession of Revee – Real Estate Venues & Entertainment, a company specialized in managing event spaces and in entertainment & experience. It operates multi-purpose arenas, convention centers, and cultural facilities in Brazil and abroad, offering versatile structures for different event formats.
Modernizing spaces is one of Revee’s key characteristics, and the innovation offered by Imply®’s system fits the project by bringing security, operational efficiency, and maximizing the visitor experience.
With capacity for up to 14 thousand people depending on the event type, the Gymnasium is a giant with more than 21 thousand square meters of built area. The complex also includes multi-sport courts, swimming pools, and its own parking lot, reaching a total area of 37 thousand square meters. All accesses will be controlled by modern Imply® equipment featuring the most advanced technology in the segment. Facial recognition has stood out globally as a strategic solution to modernize, streamline, and make access-control processes safer. With authentication carried out by the face, users no longer need to worry about passwords or physical media.
Reference in Facial Biometric Access
Imply® offers facial recognition technology with accuracy above 99.9%. Imply® Access Control is present in sports complexes throughout the country, consolidating itself as a reference in innovation and security.
This innovation raises the standard of safety and practicality in arenas and sports and cultural complexes such as the Geraldão Gymnasium. Using high-precision cameras and artificial intelligence, the system performs recognition based on unique biometric characteristics, comparing them with pre-registered records. This eliminates the need for physical tickets or cards. For the public, the major highlight lies in the fluidity of access: authentication is completed in just a few seconds, reducing lines and preventing crowding at entrances. The result is an experience that is not only more comfortable but also agile and secure, especially at large-scale events such as games, concerts, and cultural performances.
With the growing demand for innovative access-control solutions, Imply® stands out by offering cutting-edge technology that contributes to safer environments and more efficient operations. Learn more about this solution at https://imply.com/engb/access-and-ticket/facial-recognition-validator/
