Oktoberfest Blumenau 2022 hits records

With records of audience, box office, F&B sales and sponsors, this week ended the Oktoberfest in Blumenau. More than 634 thousand people attended this event, which is the second largest Germanic Culture Event in the World and the largest in the Americas.

Since 2018, Imply® has been leading the Consortium to provide integrated solutions to facilitate the management of organizers and the experiences of all visitors, including: ticket sales on multiple channels, cashless payments for food and beverage consumption, access control and operational teams.

The solution integrates the powerful Imply® ElevenTickets omnichannel ticketing platform, with multiple integrated sales channels. Tickets were made available through the internet, and after purchase, visitors could access the event using their smartphone with the QR-Code. In addition, tickets were also available at POS’ at the box office, Imply® Self-Service Kiosks and through displays with QR Codes at strategic points.

Already used in the 2018 and 2019 editions, the cashless system reached a percentage of 96% of public approval, confirming the excellent execution of the service, which is one of the largest cashless operations in Latin America. With Smartcard RFID technology, the Oktober Karte consumer card could be recharged directly at cashiers, as well as at Imply® Self-Service Kiosks. The Kiosks distributed at strategic points of the event ensured greater convenience for the public to add balance to the consumer card. As a result, food consumption in this edition was 562,603 ​​items, 8.8% higher than in 2019. Regarding beer consumption, there were 683,300 liters of beer, an increase of 12.37% compared to the last edition.

Through Imply® ElevenAccess, Oktoberfest Blumenau had an intelligent access control solution, ideal for a high flow of public with ultra-fast validation. Likewise, Oktoberfest Blumenau had ElevenStaff services, with more than 350 trained and qualified professionals for in-person and remote assisted operation during the event. In this way, the management of the event supported several tasks for the success of operations.
