Arena das Dunas opens with a technology spectacle
The Arena das Dunas, located in the city of Natal, Brazil, was inaugurated on the evening of January 22, in a ceremony attended by President Dilma Rousseff and FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke plus other authorities . With the inauguration of the stadium in Natal are ready seven of the 12 venues of the matches of the World Cup.
Besides the spectacle of infrastructure, with a different design in dune format, the Arena is composed of high-tech from the lawn to the coverage. Imply®, Brazilian leader for Access Systems to the World Cup, ensures the latest technology from the Access Control System, Ticketing , Building Control ( access management to the administrative rooms) and the iParking Management System in Arena das Dunas.
Altogether, the Imply® System manages the access control of 75 turnstiles ( 3 turnstiles being handicapped ), 118 building doors , 20 handhelds , plus 10 parking gates equipped with totems of entrance/exit and CCTV cameras. In addition, the box office has 18 points of sale Imply® for ticket sales . With the most reliable technology and a quality service, which involves everything from design to operations assisted by the Technical Team Imply® during the events, the whole system is integrated into a single management platform.
The objective of the Arena das Dunas is becoming a multipurpose project with capacity to receive from workshops to major national and international concerts. In addition, the Arena das Dunas will host four matches of the World Cup and, therefore, is ready to receive about 42 thousand visitors .
Overcoming competition from other worldwide companies, Imply® is now present in seven of the twelve arenas that will host the World Cup in Brazil. This milestone represents 70% of the stadiums that already have technology developed in Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil.
